About Space
We are a Charitable Organisation who train volunteers to become volunteer befrienders to young people aged between 5 and 16 years of age from disadvantaged backgrounds. We have worked successfully in the South West Of Edinburgh for many years and have recently received funding to work City Wide. We are looking for positive role models to become volunteer befrienders. We provide full training for the befriending role as well as information on child protection and other information relative to working with young people. This could be a valuable learning experience that could help improve the skills required for those training in social sciences or in general and can be a rewarding experience for both volunteer and Young Person’
