Job Description
Social Bite is looking for volunteers that would help with our food production at Central Kitchen in Livingston.
You will be part of a fun team that prepare food that is distributed across Scotland to those who are affected by homelessness. You will also gain valuable experience that will equip you to look for future opportunities in hospitality industry.

Main duties:
- To assist in the production of sandwiches and food bags that will be distributed out to essential services working with people who are experiencing food poverty as a result of homelessness, low income and the impact of Covid-19
- To make the Head Chef aware of any health and safety issues within the kitchen
- To make volunteer the co-ordinator aware at earliest possible time if you cannot continue to volunteer for any reason
- Adhere to Social Bite Code of Conduct
- Adhere to Social Bite Guidance for volunteers on Corona Virus
- Adhere to food hygiene standards
Training:
We will provide you with all the training needed for the role this will include Food Hygiene, if you do not already have this qualification.
We ask that all volunteers commit to providing a minimum of 1 month to volunteer with Social Bite in the warehouse. The reason for this is that we want to reduce the number of people involved to a minimum to avoid all possible spreading of the virus.
