Job Description

Job Title: Junior Support and Professional Services Assistant

Salary: £20,000 to £23,000 depending on experience

Location: Central Edinburgh

Start date: To be agreed

CereProc is a small, growing, profitable company, based in Edinburgh at the heart of the city’s high-tech cluster.

CereProc’s specialises in the creation of advanced text-to-speech solutions with voices that have character and personality. CereProc is the only British company producing this type of technology.

CereProc’s solutions are available on virtually any IT platform, from SAAS to mobile, desktop and high-end servers. CereProc customers range from individual users, to multinationals companies like Intel (USA), Nokia (USA), Hanson Robotics, NHS and the Scottish Government, plus many more.

This is a new role at CereProc, due to the expansion of the company. The role is designed for an enthusiastic new joiner to the employment market, who wishes to have a career within the technology sphere.

There are two primary areas of activity associated with this role:

  1. Pre-Sales support activities that are associated with developing the CereProc customer base and new business in the market place. This will involve working with the sales team to develop opportunities, attend meetings etc. where technical input is require. It will involve setting up and monitoring customer trials.
  2. Post-Sales support activities – all types of customer support, licencing of software, issuing software, issuing renewal notices to sales plus general administration and support for the Director of Professional Services.

Key Job Tasks / Activities

Pre-Sales:

Assisting the Sales team in providing technical sales assistance to customers and Resellers. This involves providing technical assistance on quotes, trials RFI’s and orders etc. It may involve customer meetings.

– Updating the CereProc CRM system with relevant information.

– Providing proactive support to allocated customers and channel partners.

– Assisting in maintaining CereProc’s website

Post-Sales:

– Issuing software and licences to customers, etc.

– Technical support on CereProc solutions for end users and approved resellers.

– Office administration and support administration.

– Assisting the Director of Professional Services with voice recording.

– General administrations duties as required by the Director of Professional Services.

Key Requirements:

The successful candidate should

– be a university graduate or high school leaver who has achieved good Highers and can demonstrate exceptional IT skills

– should have good communication skills and an outgoing personality

– have a keen interest in technology.

– be computer literate, be entrepreneurial, enthusiastic, outgoing, ambitious, creative, independent and able to show initiative and drive to help grow CereProc’s business.
