Job Description
Hours
28 hours per week, consisting of:
x 2 weekday prep shifts based at our unit in Rosyth
x 1 on-site event shift, usually on a Saturday
Additional shifts will occasionally be required, and these will be agreed in advance with you.
Job Type
This is a Fixed Term Contract until 30th November, with the possibility of extending to a permanent contract.

Wild Rover Food are a wedding and event catering company based in Fife, Scotland. We source the best quality local and Scottish ingredients to deliver seasonal, scrumptious wedding and event catering as well as unique food experiences.
We deliver events at venues across Scotland, working from kitchen spaces in Scottish castles and converted barns, and also from our unique outdoor Land Rover ex-army field kitchen in fields and other outdoor settings.

About you
You will have received kitchen training experience. You will be able to perform general kitchen duties involving fresh food preparation, event kit and food packing and general kitchen cleaning.
You will be sociable, have strong communication skills, and enjoy working in a fast-paced team environment. You will be working both under a Head Chef and independently, so an eye for detail, adaptability and fast learning is essential.
Principal responsibilities
Food preparation:
Assisting the Head Chef with fresh food preparation and cooking for events days Working closely with the Head Chef but also delivering work independently Accepting and storing/stacking food deliveries when required
Assisting with event day food and kit packing
Events:
Assisting with either the opening on-site ‘build’ shift or the closing ‘pack-up’ shift Preparing food and cooking on-site at events
Working confidently in commercial kitchen spaces but also from our unique outdoor Land Rover field kitchen set up
Working closely with Head Chef, Event Manager and FOH team in a professional manner to deliver high quality customer service
Assisting in the set up and delivery of grazing tables
A keen eye for detail and design is required
Working to a strict service deadline and timekeeping
Unpacking the kit into the warehouse post event
Kitchen Cleaning and Maintenance:
Daily cleaning tasks (cleaning and sanitizing workstations / removing rubbish)
Essential Requirements
Minimum Level 2 Food Hygiene
Certificate Full Clean Driver’s License
