Job Description
We are looking for enthusiastic relief workers who share our values (Kind, Passionate and Creative) to join our service accommodating and supporting people experiencing homelessness and empowering them to thrive.
Relief workers cover varied shifts on weekdays and weekends both within our residential and outreach services. We provide support, advice and assistance to individuals regarding practical skills, physical health and wellbeing and emotional support. We also provide opportunities to explore personal interests, occupation of time and positive social networks.
Salary scale: £10.02 per hour
Flexible hours as and when required (hours not guaranteed)
Work will be in our supported residential services, outreach services and follow on services.
Group A: Alexandria / Bonhill / Clydebank / Paisley / Renfrew
Group B: Glasgow City Centre (3 projects) / Shettleston
Group C: Blantyre / East Kilbride / Hamilton / Lanark / Uddingston
Group D: Ayr / Kilmarnock
Group E: Musselburgh / Port Seton
Group F: Oban
Relief work is an excellent a stepping stone into a career in social care; You will have the opportunity to take part in related training and receive one to one inputs to reviewing your work practice.
If successful, you will be required to register with the Scottish Social Services Council within 6 months of your start date. After registration, there is a requirement to be qualified and to maintain professional learning.
