Events Operations Assistant (Part Time) – Edinburgh

We are looking for authentic and driven Events Operations Team Members at Kimpton Charlotte Square Hotel to embrace your unique, best self and provide our guests with heartfelt human connections!

Please note, we are currently recruiting for 20-hours per week permanent contracts which run from August 2024 to January 2025.

With all contracts, we do require flexibility to cover additional shifts during busy periods (on busy weeks, can be expected to be between 30-40 hours work available per week).

 

What do you need to be a Conference and Events Team Member? 

Your main duties and responsibilities will be providing support to set up and take down events (including handling heavy equipment such as tables and chairs) to ensure the smooth running of our events. You will also be responsible for working across a wide range of events (such as festive parties, weddings, conferences, and meetings) to provide our customers with excellent customer service, working at a fast pace to ensure the smooth running of our operations.

 

It would be great if you had…

  • Experience as a Waiter/Waitress, Bartender, Events Host or Server
  • Flexibility of working hours, you will have late finishes and early starts depending on which event you are supporting! Weekend availability is essential for this role.
  • Drive to produce results, we work together within the Kimpton family to continue to provide our guests with extremely personal experiences and human connection.
  • A warm and authentic personality, with a can-do attitude and commitment to service.
  • Overall, you will be willing to work within our team to embrace our service and delight our guests!
