Cook – Royston Court Care Home and Inchview Care Home

Salary: £21,697 – £21,979 (pro-rata for part time)
Hours: 18 hours
Edinburgh Health and Social Care Partnership are looking for an experienced, enthusiastic candidate to support the management of a quality catering service for 60 residents with a variety of dietary requirements.
Reporting to the Senior Cook, you will be responsible for the preparation and cooking of meals and snacks appropriate to dietary needs as well as supporting in duties including food ordering, the completion of HACCP documentation and leading the kitchen in the absence of the Senior Cook. Ideally holding a catering qualification, you will be flexible in approach with excellent organisational and communication skills.
The post covers early/late shifts and alternate weekend working.

This post is considered Regulated Work with Vulnerable Children and/or Protected Adults, under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. Preferred candidates will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG scheme update check prior to a formal offer of employment being made by the City of Edinburgh Council.
