Building Services Engineer (Trainee)

Role
As part of our planned growth strategy Rybka are seeking trainee Building Services Engineer(s) to join their Edinburgh office. You will work with senior engineers to develop mechanical and electrical design information for the construction industry. Typical duties will involve options appraisals, outline design, calculations, detailed design, drawings, simulation and design reports/specifications. Also required would be site visits to ensure all installations meet the required specification and handover processes are delivered appropriately. The trainee role is a full-time position although options to include for part-time study for further/higher education qualifications is available.
Key Challenges
The trainee engineer will work to deliver design tasks within clearly defined timescales and will be expected to work cooperatively within a team environment. The role requires a person who can work as part of a multidisciplinary design team including Architects, Structural Engineers, Quantity Surveyors and Contractors, with the ability to influence the team to meet the needs of the client.
Qualifications
Secondary education qualifications in English, Maths, Science and Technology would be advantageous. Further Education qualifications in (or studying towards) an Engineering subject would be advantageous but not essential.
Experience and Technical Skill
Any experience from the construction industry and relevant technical skills such as AutoCAD/REVIT would be advantageous but not necessary as full training will be given.
