This virtual work experience programme gives students the opportunity to see behind the scenes at Pinsent Masons. The Virtual Programme will help students to decide if a career in law is right for them. In the programme, students will assist a hypothetical Pinsent Masons client. Students will also gain practical skills to add to their CV, whilst getting a flavour of what working at Pinsent Masons is like.
There is no application process for their Virtual Work Experience Programme and anybody interested in pursuing a career in commercial law can register for free.
White & Case
Gain an insight into the fast-paced work of our lawyers and trainees by enrolling in our virtual work experience programme. There is no application required and the programme is self-paced to fit around your schedule. This experience will be recognised on our application forms and it is a great way to demonstrate your interest in law and White & Case.

Linklaters
Linklaters Virtual Programme – the first of its kind among law firms in the UK. In this programme, you will get to sample the cutting-edge work our trainees and lawyers do every day. You will get to build legal skills and better understand what a career at Linklaters offers. Our programme is open to all students, from a law or non-law background.
When you complete the Virtual Programme, you’ll earn a personalised completion certificate to share with prospective employers and your professional network.

Royal College of General Practitioners
Supported by the Medical Schools Council: Observe GP is an alternative to work experience for aspiring medics aged 16 and over, who are living in the UK. It is a free interactive video platform providing insights into the role of a GP and the wider primary care team.
Brighton and Sussex Medical School
Virtual Work Experience Widening Participation to Medicine. This course provides a ‘virtual’ work experience for those looking to apply to medical school. You will be introduced to the NHS before exploring the roles and skill sets of six different medical specialists. Along the way, you will also consider some of the challenges and wider issues doctors face.

You can find virtual internships and work opportunities through the legal, finance, consulting, tech, engineering, marketing & media and social impact sectors. Internships and opportunities are available in all kinds of companies from start-ups to big names.
Barclays
Virtual Work Experience: Freeformers. Students get to see the inner workings of Freeformers, a “digital transformation” agency, and actively work with different departments on one exciting project, helping them to solve problems and complete real-life tasks. As part of the experience students are given tips as well as links through to other LifeSkills content. These are designed to help them learn how best to deal with situations that they may come across in the workplace.
Hereford Cathedral
National Lottery Heritage Fund supported Eastern Cloisters Project at Hereford Cathedral, we have developed a number of student work experience placements that can be done from home. We know how difficult and concerning it must be right now for young people who have had studies suspended and are looking for opportunities to develop their CV or personal statement. Each placement is a week long, focusing on a specific task or role, with support from the Activity Officer.
Speakers for Schools
Speakers for Schools is proud to announce the launch of the Speakers for Schools Virtual Work Experience (VWEX) program. To address the need for high quality work experience, in communities which often have a disconnect between the aspirations of young people, and the present of outstanding employers.
Our VWEX program is the first of its kind in the UK and enables employers to solve key problems in their business while delivering meaningful and structured work experience to more young people wherever they reside.
