Summer Visitor Services Assistant/Warden (Palace of Holyroodhouse)

Hours of work: You will typically work 37.5 per week and be rostered to work 5 days, Monday through to Sunday. Your rest days will be on a rolling 7-week rota pattern.

As a Warden, you’ll welcome visitors from around the world, answering their questions, enriching their visit, and ensuring the safety and security of the site. After full training you’ll have the skills, you need to excel in your position and to enjoy an extraordinary summer experience.
Responsibilities
- Warmly welcome visitors and provide them with information about our sites.
- Provide exceptional customer service, always maintaining a friendly and professional demeanour.
- Ensure the safety and security of the visitors and the site.
- Carry out a variety of duties along the visitor route.
- Work collaboratively as a team to ensure the smooth flow of visitors along the route.
About you
- A naturally friendly, welcoming and professional attitude.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Proven team player, able to work flexibly and adapt to changing circumstances.
- Comfortable working on your feet, both indoors and outdoors.
- Ability to work at pace in a busy environment.
