Sessional Youth Workers – Midlothian
Join our dynamic team and make a meaningful impact on the lives of children, young people, and families in Midlothian. We are seeking dedicated and passionate individuals to support our Midlothian service in a group-based environment. Our mission is to provide enriching activities for children and their families through the Woman’s Supper Club and weekend/school holiday family activity sessions.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with a diverse team of professionals to create engaging and inclusive activities for children and young people.
- Support families to develop stronger relationships through the provision of play based, interactive activities for the whole family.
- Have the opportunity to take the lead in delivering activities, ensuring resource availability, and maintaining strong communication with the Midlothian team.
About you:
- Essential: Some prior experience working with young people and their families.
- Advantageous: Previous experience in a play-based setting.
- Compassionate, creative, and committed individuals are encouraged to apply.
Hours:
- Thursdays: 3 hours (4:00 PM – 6:30 PM) with an additional 30 minutes of travel time allowance
- Alternate weekends/weekly holiday provision: Hours vary depending on scheduled activities.

Further Information
The hourly rate will be £11.81 per hour. This rate does not include payment for annual leave entitlement, which will be an additional £1.43 (£13.24 in total).
