Seasonal Domestic Assistant (Cleaner), University of Edinburgh

Salary: £16,460 per annum (pro rata) – £9.02 per hour – plus 5% premium payment to reflect flexible working

We are looking for enthusiastic and positive people to join our team of Domestic Assistants to provide excellent cleaning service in our student and commercial guest accommodation.

In this role you will be a part of the busy cleaning team based primarily in student accommodation. You will interact with a wide range of customers on a daily basis throughout the busy summer period. The successful candidates will be involved in the preparation, setup, cleaning and servicing of bedrooms and communal areas as well as the distribution of linen for our guests.
As with much of the hospitality industry, weekends can be our busiest times, therefore, weekend work will be required over the summer period.

To be eligible to apply for this role you should have previous cleaning experience, be able to follow written and verbal instructions, have excellent time management skills, as well as be able to communicate effectively with a wide range of customers.

Please be aware that these posts will require you to work each weekend for the duration of your contract.

You must be able to commit to the entire period of employment and no annual leave will be permitted but instead you will be paid for this at the end of your contract.

• This is a fixed term assignment.
