Practitioner and Support Playworkers – Skool Is Out
We are a busy and vibrant After School Club, based in the Bruntsfield area of Edinburgh. We are looking for an energetic, committed, and enthusiastic candidates to join our staff team.
We have vacancies for Practitioner and Support Playworkers, with flexible working options available to suit individuals personal needs and requirements.
The job role of a Playworker is to assist the staff team in the delivery of high quality, stimulating play opportunities for primary aged children, in a safe and inclusive out-of-school environment.
Previous experience of working with primary aged children, ideally in an out-of-school setting, is desirable for this post.
All applicants are expected to be enthusiastic and have excellent communication skills and fully funded, accredited courses in First Aid, Child Protection and Food Hygiene will be offered to all staff within their first year of employment with Skool Is Out, subject to terms and conditions.
Support and Practitioner childcare workers must be registered with the either GTC (General Teaching Council) or SSSC. You must also register with the PVG (Protection of Vulnerable Groups) Scheme or undergo a PVG update prior to commencing employment with Skool Is Out Ltd. The cost of registration with the SSSC and the PVG Scheme will be met by the applicant.
Please note, all offers of employment are contingent upon receipt of two employment references and successful registration with the PVG scheme.
Job Type: Part-time
Hours: 16-24 hours per week
Wage: £9.50-£10.20 per hour
Start date: 17th August 2022
