Job Description
The Pentland Junior Singers are looking for a new Musical Director!
•
We are a youth choir for children aged 8 to 14 based in Balerno.
•
We perform two concerts a year in conjunction with the Pentland Singers and hold a come & sing event each September.
•
We sing a wide variety of choral, folk and world music and songs from shows and films in unison, two and three part harmony
•
Rehearsals are held every Tuesday evening, during term time, in Balerno Parish Church from 6.00pm to 7.00pm.
We are seeking a new Musical Director who will:
•
Have experience of teaching and developing musical skills and abilities with children
•
Encourage and develop the choir’s musicality and skills.
•
Is happy to work with Pentland Singers committee and other professionals to create a first class concert twice a year.
Salary – £30 – £35 per hour (depending on skills and experience)
