Job Description

21 hours per week. Fixed term until 31 March 2025 (possible continuation after this date).

£24,240 pro-rata

Grassy Riggs is a vibrant drop in café for older people, located in the Woodburn area of Dalkeith.

Our priority is to create a warm, supportive, and inviting environment where people can come together to experience purposeful social engagement, enhanced living and participation.

We aim to alleviate isolation and exclusion. To establish a stronger sense of identity and belonging.

By working together and responding and adapting to the needs and wishes of those in the local community we will create a vibrant community spirit and a much-needed resource.

The café operates Tuesday to Thursday lunchtimes.

Role

PURPOSE OF JOB

To assist in running the Grassy Riggs older people’s drop in. Ensure that older people and carers are well supported by the project. To be an effective team player in the Project. To give regular practical information and support on social care issues and issues of poverty to our members, carers, volunteers and their families.
