Cook/chef required
We are a family owned business which has operated at the foot of the Royal Mile for nearly 50 years. We have developed a reputation for good food and customer service. We have an opening for two full or part time permanent members of staff to join our small and happy team. The primary role is to bake daily and prepare food for a breakfast and light lunch menu. As the premises are small, staff members are expected to share in all kitchen activity.
Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Cook to join our team in preparing delicious meals in our tearoom kitchen. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation and baking.
Duties:
– Prepare and cook a variety of dishes following recipes and presentation guidelines.
– Ensure food safety standards are met at all times during preparation and cooking.
– Maintain cleanliness and organisation in the kitchen area.
– Collaborate with the kitchen team to provide excellent service to customers.
Skills:
– Proven experience as a Cook or similar role in a restaurant setting.
– Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and culinary skills.
– Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
– Knowledge of food safety regulations and practices.
– Excellent teamwork and communication skills to collaborate effectively with kitchen staff.
