Job Description

NEC Enterprise Limited is a subsidiary of North Edinburgh Childcare which is one of the premier providers of high quality, affordable childcare and education services in Edinburgh.  NEC Enterprise Limited manages both the Out Of School Club and the Breakfast Club at Juniper Green Primary School.

 We are currently seeking applications for an enthusiastic and highly motivated individual to fill the following posts within our established Juniper Green Out Of School Club Team:

JUNIPER  GREEN BREAKFAST  CLUB  WORKER

8.75hrs/wk Monday-Friday (Term Time Only)

From £10.71/hour inclusive of holiday pay per hour.

The successful candidate will work as part of a team to deliver a high quality out of school club service for children attending Juniper Green Primary School.  Applicants should (but it is not essential) have experience of working with primary school aged children and be able to work as part of a team.

Daily tasks will involve preparing breakfast for the children in attendance, recognizing any potential allergens, participating om the planning, running and evaluation of the day to day programme of activities, and ensuring the safety of the children and equipment within the breakfast club at all times, to name but a few.

 

JUNIPER  GREEN OUT  OF  SCHOOL  CLUB  PRACTITIONERS x 2

16hrs/wk Monday-Thursday (Term Time Only) with the possibility for additional hours during school holidays and some In-Service Days for Term Time Only contracts.

Up to £10.88/hour depending on Qualification status.

 

JUNIPER  GREEN OUT  OF  SCHOOL  CLUB  PRACTITIONER

20hrs/wk Monday-Friday (either Term Time Only or Year Round Contracts available) with the possibility for additional hours during school holidays and some In-Service Days for Term Time Only contracts.

Up to £11,315.20/annum based on 20hr/week AYR Contract depending on Qualification status.

 

The successful candidates for the club practitioner roles will work as part of a team to deliver a high quality out of school club service for children attending Juniper Green Primary School.  Applicants must hold, be currently working towards, or be willing to work towards a relevant childcare qualification to allow them to register with the Scottish Social Services Council at practitioner level.

Applicants will have experience of working with primary school aged children and be able to work as part of a team in the planning, delivery and evaluation of a high quality out of school care service.

Applicants may also have the opportunity to work additional hours within the Breakfast Club if they wish to do so.

This is a busy Out Of School Club and requires applicants to be eager to learn, participate and undergo a tremendous amount of activities with the children onsite.  The successful candidates will show an enthusiasm for children’s learning and an understanding of how to create a safe and stimulating environment that provides school age children with opportunities for overall development.
