Kick Ass Hostels are a rapidly growing company of backpackers hostels located in the center of Edinburgh. We are looking to recruit staff to help with the cleaning of our hostels in the Grassmarket area.
Examples of housekeeper’s responsibilities:
- Change and make beds in between guests, adhering to high standards within a short time.
- Maintain attention to detail, ensuring all guest areas are presentable at all times.
- Sweeping, vacuuming and mopping floors.
- Daily laundry responsibilities.
- Clean commercial buildings by emptying trash cans, servicing restrooms and wiping down communal surfaces.
- Tackle heavy cleaning jobs & regular deep cleans when asked.
- Ensure outside walkways remain clear and free of debris.
- Notify building management of any repairs required.
- Mix and dispose of all cleaning solutions appropriately.
- Maintain excellent communication with your teammates and other departments.
Examples of housekeeper’s skills:
- Ability to handle cleaning products.
- Ability to walk, bend, push, pull and lift repetitively during working hours.
- Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, proper storage and disposal methods.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work as a team.
- Excellent organisational skills a must.
- Punctual and presentable at all times.
- Self-motivation and the ability to identify and complete needed tasks without direct supervision.
- Ability to clean to high standard within tight time periods.
