The Place is a café and bar in the heart of Stockbridge catering for both the general public and a large membership base. We also cater for events and functions, including canapes and sit down meals. We are looking to expand our kitchen staff to offer a more complete food offering going forward. Wonderful opportunity for the right candidate to join a high volume kitchen and assist the Head Chef with the day to day running.
The right candidate:
- The right candidates should have experience in dealing with events and functions from 100 people upwards.
- Able to multi-manage events and catering as well as a working kitchen.
- Proven experience in kitchen as a chef.
- Be able to work to strict deadlines to ensure food is going out to customers on time.
- Display a record of upkeeping strict health and safety procedures.
Job Duties:
- Managing the kitchen in the absence of the head chef.
- Ordering and maintaining of stock levels.
- Preparing menu items quickly and efficiently while adhering to sanitary regulations.
- Produce food at the level maintained by the head chef.
- Maintain a clean and hygienic work station, adhering to health and safety standards.
- Direct the cleaning and organisation of the kitchen and equipment.
- Maintain food hygiene and safety standards.
