Job Description
Volunteer befrienders are integral to the continued success of the Positive Transitions service. Your hard work, dedication and enthusiasm is greatly cherished by our team.
Online Befrienders spend 1-2 hours per week with a child/young person who has been referred to the Positive Transitions service. The befriending sessions take place online, over video call on the Microsoft Teams platform. We provide consistent, safe, open, supportive, and non-judgemental environments where young people and their befriender can: talk, play games, help with learning, and share stories. Befrienders are there to listen and understand; to help encourage a successful transition in the young person’s life.
