Broxburn United Sports Club, Recruitment for Evening Facilities Attendant

Summary of Job

Broxburn United Sports Club (BUSC) was formed in 2008 to develop and deliver sporting programmes within the local community. The facility opened in 2010 and provides inclusive sporting and social activities for all ages and abilities, seven days a week. The club is currently run by a board of seven trustees, three full time staff, two part time staff, as well as a number of local volunteers/coaches who are vital to the success of the organisation.

BUSC are looking for a highly motivated individual who wishes to work in our growing community sports club.

The individual will work with partners across Broxburn and associated cluster communities.  You will assist in the running and upkeep of our state of the art facility, ensuring that our user groups are entering and exiting our facility safely and having a first-class experience while visiting our Club.

It is important that the post-holder can develop strong partnerships and networks to further the reach

of the club, ensuring plans are aligned to organisational aims and objectives.

Full Job Description

The post holder will be responsible for

  • Liaising with our customers and community to ensure they have the best possible experience at Albyn Park.
  • Setting up and maintaining equipment, checking it is not damaged and is safe to use. Ensuring equipment is placed away properly for the next user. Eg Goals etc
  • We have many user groups who regularly visit our facility, therefore you will be required to ensure they enter and exit as safely as possible and within the current Government Guidelines.
  • Cleanliness of our facilities is an important aspect, therefore you will be required to ensure rooms are sanitised between bookings, along with an up to date record.
  • You will assist with taking bookings, selling refreshments in our cafe which may include handling small amounts of cash.
  • Ordering cafe stock and creating a stock check system.
  • Answering the phone and recording enquiries.
  •  You may help the sports coaches to work with participants and assist at special events.
  • In this digital world, you will be able to contribute to our social media accounts, sharing our positive stories.
  • Manage pitch bookings for internal and external users.
  • Be responsible for the opening and closing of the premises.

Work Pattern

Monday to Thursday 4.30-10pm        22 hours per week     Occasional weekend working may be required

Contract Length   1 year (may be extended)
