Office Assistant                                                                                             

£10.72 per hour       

Randolph Hill Head Office, South Gyle, Edinburgh

 

Randolph Hill Nursing Homes Group are looking for an exceptional person, to join us as an Office Assistant working at our Head Office at South Gyle in Edinburgh.

 

This role will ideally suit someone who has an interest in forging a career in administrative work and possibly a college graduate.

 

We have a highly skilled head office team and the successful candidate will learn all aspects of the role working alongside a highly experienced team under the direct supervision of our Office Manager.  This will give the successful candidate a broad range of skills and experience in this area.

 

We are looking for someone who is hard working with a strong attitude to their work and with a commitment to continuous learning.  It is expected that the successful applicant will work four office days and do one day per week at college (paid) completing a qualification in Administration, if they do not already possess a similar qualification.

 

The role will include but not limited to:

  • Answering incoming calls and directing to the appropriate person
  • Writing cheques
  • Credit card payments
  • Filing
  • Ordering goods
  • Typing using MS Word
  • Daily use of Excel – basic level 1
  • Archiving
  • Dealing with incoming and outgoing mail
  • Ad-hoc administrative duties as required

 

The successful candidate will also undergo on the job training into our purchase ledger, sales ledger and payroll procedures all of which are essential functions of our administration team.
