Kick Ass Hostels is a rapidly growing company of backpacker hostels, currently located in the centre of Edinburgh with the aim to expand to other locations soon. We are looking to recruit a night receptionist to our team.
About you:
- Outgoing and lively personality
- Previous front of house experience is preferred (experience with Cloudbeds would be a plus!)
- A strong interest in Tourism & Hospitality/Travel & Hostels
- Enthusiastic about getting involved with hostel events, and hosting a city walking tour
- You need to be able to handle any sort of situation in English – additional languages are a plus
- A passion for customer service and ownership to resolve guest complaints.
- Excellent grooming standards; always punctual
- Confident cash handling
- Ability to maintain a positive and proactive attitude during a busy environment.
- Adaptable and flexible, great at problem-solving
- Great organizational skills and ability to complete tasks efficiently and promptly
- Competent working with computers, speaking on the phone and replying to emails
- You need to be able to legally work in the UK
- Fully flexible through the week for rota purposes
Your Tasks include:
- Be a great host and offer our guests the best possible customer service
- Welcome guests in a polite and friendly manner.
- Check-in/ Check-out for individual
- Follow cash handling procedures.
- Up-sell with latest departmental incentives.
- Ensure compliance of brand standards.
- Strive to achieve departmental targets.
- Provide sightseeing information and insider tips.
- Comply with hostel security, fire regulations and all health and safety legislation.
- Assist other departments wherever necessary and maintain good working relationships.
