Job Description

German Donner Kebab just opened at SJQ and they are looking for Front and Back oh House staff. No experience needed as training will be provided.

Front of House Staff

We require Team members who have what it takes to grow with us and share in our success.

You will support the restaurant management team and be expected to deliver exceptional food quality and guest care and service. You will work to brand standards, within a team, and ensure every guest leaves the restaurant having had a great experience.

Here is what you need:

Store Team Member Front of house

  • ‘Guest first in everything we do’
  • Have a positive attitude
  • Assist guests in choosing meals and drinks and providing additional up-sell information
  • Process guests’ orders through the POS system
  • Deliver orders to the kitchen and assist in preparing and packing food and beverages
  • Ensure that the portion of food being packed or served is appropriate
  • Promote additional food items to increase sales
  • Process sales and provide guests with receipts and deliver food
  • Greet EVERY guest
  • Answer the telephone and deal with an enquiry
  • Assemble and package orders to the standard
  • Keep all guest areas clean and tidy
  • Ensure that all orders are complete and ready to be received by the guest
  • Work to Brand standards and deliver exceptional guest service

Critical skills needed for the job

  • Has the ability to speak clearly and listen attentively to guests and other team members
  • Has the ability to maintain a professional appearance and display a positive and enthusiastic approach to all tasks
  • Exhibits a cheerful and helpful attitude, and provides excellent guest care
  • Adapts to changing business volume levels with a sense of urgency
  • Can demonstrate a complete understanding of the menu
  • Be able to follow instructions to achieve brand standards
  • Ability to fill in daily paperwork in line with GDK standards.
  • Maintain the ability to be cross-trained in all areas of the kitchen and front counter
  • Believes in exceptional guest service

Back of House Staff

We require Team members who have what it takes to grow with us and share in our success.

You will support the restaurant management team and be expected to deliver exceptional food quality and guest care and service. You will work to brand standards, within a team, and ensure every guest leaves the restaurant having had a great experience.

Here is what you need:

  • Prep – cleans, cuts, and stores all vegetables. Prepares all sauces. Prepares spring rolls. Assists with maintaining all storage areas. Washes all containers and utensils as and when needed. Coordinates with the manager to prepare the variety and quantities required.
  • Bread Station – toasts or cooks all breads according to the orders. Respects all times, temperatures, and procedures. Communicates with kitchen manager and other team members for a smooth flow of items. Maintains area and equipment clean at all times.
  • Fry Station – cooks all fried products as required following correct procedures, times, temperatures, and portions. Communicates with kitchen manager and other team members for a smooth flow of items. Maintains area and equipment clean at all times.
  • Build Station – Prepares all menu items as required following correct procedures, times, temperatures, and portions. Communicates with kitchen manager and other team members for a smooth flow of items. Maintains area and equipment clean at all times.
  • Expo – Receives the food from the kitchen team. Checks for product quality and accuracy. Presents the order to the FOH Pass. Addresses and resolves any issues with orders, working with the FOH Pass. Leads the BOH (Kitchen) team.
