Job Description
North Edinburgh Childcare is one of the premier providers of high quality, affordable childcare and education services in Edinburgh and is known for its community based approach to delivering accredited childcare training. The organisation is strongly grounded in an inclusive ethos which underpins both our excellent services and our commitment to staff, their training and professional development.
We are currently seeking applications for enthusiastic and highly motivated individuals to fill the following posts:
CHILDCARE SESSIONAL WORKERS
The rate of pay for these posts is an hourly rate for the relevant age group plus holiday pay or higher if experienced/qualified.
Up to £10.99/hour depending on qualification/experience
Childcare Sessional Workers are required to assist in the efficient and effective delivery of the organisation’s childcare services. Settings across the city include two full day care nurseries, five out of school clubs and 2 breakfast clubs.
Specific hours are not guaranteed and vary from short sessions to full time dependent on the needs of the organisation. Shifts are dependent upon the individuals availability as well as the organisation’s. At present we have varied shifts available to cover core staff holidays and absences.
The ideal applicant for this post would be someone who has had previous experience of working with children. However, we welcome applications from those wishing to enter into the childcare field to gain experience to develop their career further.
Please note that applicants for these posts applicants must hold, or be willing to work towards, a relevant qualification and be eligible to register at support worker level with the Scottish Social Services Council. They must also be a member of the Protection of Vulnerable Groups Scheme.
