The Job

As part of a new and exciting project to replatform Hunters eCommerce systems we require an experienced AX D365 Applications Engineer within our Edinburgh IT team to support successful migration from Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 to D365 with our Cloud service provider. You will be required to manage the daily functionality of Dynamics AX 2012 until the migration, oversee ongoing functionality enhancements, and engage with product stakeholders to finalise and ensure the successful implementation of D365 in line with business requirements.

The Person

The ideal person for this role will have relevant D365 applications implementation experience, ideally gained within a fast-paced fashion/retail business environment. They will be effective in determining practical solutions for both business and technical processes and have a proven track record of delivering high-quality projects that result in high customer satisfaction. Working closely with project team members at all levels, they will need to demonstrate strong relationships with internal stakeholders in gathering business requirements, assessing business needs, and providing creative and effective solutions that conform to required standards. They will be detail-oriented, able to multi-task, extremely organised, and able to prioritize multiple demands in a very fast-paced environment.

D365 Application Engineer Job Tasks

 

  • Provide expert knowledge and leadership for D365 application requirements to all project team members
  • Participate in planning and design sessions with internal and external stakeholders as required
  • Work with project members to gather and document business needs and processes
  • Provide advice on best practices for D365 processes, user interface and architecture
  • Develop and manage project plans that encompass the complete project life cycle (project requirements, development, quality assurance, deployment etc.)
  • Create the functional and technical specifications documentation for the eCommerce replatforming project in line with business requirements
